Oh ! I have only seen a shuttle take off in real live once in my live!
That was in 91... I was on vacation... ( not from the take off ramp, but from a highway we were driving on)
wow.. how cool is it to see it from your front door!
This was the same view from my house. I forgot all abt the shuttle going up until I saw the news. I ran out hoping to see part of it, but all that was left was the smoke....
