Darn it! Was hoping you would say it worked cause I need some color ink refills and they are SOO expensive!!

It may depend on when you ran out of the color ink that you had... Both of my inks had been dry for over a year, so it was probably a stupid idea to begin with. If you just ran out, it might be more successful. The good news is, Office Depot guarantees their product for 14 days, so if it doesn't work, you can take it back, which is what I did.
